Avita Health System is rolling out its reduced-cost blood screenings throughout October 2024. This initiative allows community members to access essential blood tests at discounted rates to promote proactive healthcare management. For the entire month, participants can purchase vouchers for these screenings at various Avita locations.
Where to Purchase Vouchers
From October 1-31 vouchers for the screenings can be bought at:
- Galion Hospital cashier’s office
- Bucyrus Hospital and Ontario Hospital registration desks
- Bellville and Shelby Walk-In Clinics
Vouchers cannot be purchased at the Ontario South Campus. Participants should ensure they purchase vouchers before redeeming them at the lab for testing.
Available Tests and Costs
Avita offers several different lab tests at reduced prices:
- HealthLink Lab Profile: $30 (includes Lipids, Chems, and CBC)
- PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen): $25
- HgbA1c (Glycosylated Hemoglobin): $30
- TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone): $15
- Vitamin D, 25: $30
These vouchers can be redeemed during the month of October 2024 at any Avita Hospital, Ontario South Campus, or the Bellville and Shelby Walk-In Clinics. If all preparation requirements are met, participants may purchase and redeem their vouchers on the same day. Vouchers are valid until October 31, 2024.
Important Note on Results
Please note that physicians or healthcare providers will not receive copies of the lab results. All results will be sent directly to the individual, and it is the participant’s responsibility to share these results with their provider.

To ensure convenient access, Avita Health System has set the following lab hours for October:
- Bucyrus and Galion Hospitals:
- Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
- Ontario Hospital:
- Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
- Ontario South Campus:
- Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: Closed
- Bellville and Shelby Walk-In Clinics:
- Daily: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Cashier office hours at Galion, Bucyrus, and Ontario Hospitals are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Additional Information
For participants seeking tests, it is essential to keep in mind that vouchers cannot be purchased or redeemed at the Ontario Walk-In Clinic.
