The Mardi Gras 5K will take a 3.1 mile route through the streets of Lexington on Sunday, February 26. Proceeds from the event benefit the Lexington Schools Music Boosters. The schedule for the event at Western Elementary School, 385 W. Main Street is as follows:
- 12:00 pm Registration Opens
- 1:25 pm Registration Closes
- 1:30 pm 5K Start! Course closes at 2:30pm
Pre-registration is $20 if postmarked by February 14, and $25 after that date. T-shirts are only available for those who register by February 14.
Awards will be given to top overall male and overall female, as well as three deep in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 and older. Special prizes will also be awarded to Lucky Charm holders. All finishers receive a chance!
