The number of road projects in Richland County continues to decline as the end of the construction year nears. Nevertheless, the following four construction areas were included in this week’s alert from District 3 of the Ohio Department of Transportation:
US Route 30
US 30, in Mansfield at the I-71 and US 30 interchange, may be reduced to one lane of traffic for maintenance repairs. Night work continues from 7pm-6am on US 30, from SR 309 to Fifth Ave. The entire project is expected to be complete this month.
Township Road 37 (Shauck Rd.)
TR 37 (Shauck Rd.), between Ross Rd. and Denman Rd./Fox Rd./Mazwell Rd., is closed for a bridge replacement. The detour route for northbound motorists is TR 37 (Shauck Rd.) to Denman Rd., continue north on Denman Rd. to Steam Corners-Lexington Rd., west on Steam Corners-Lexington Rd. to Ross Rd., south on Ross Rd. to TR 37 (Shauck Rd.), and reverse for southbound motorists. The project is expected to be complete this month.
State Route 39 ***NEW***
SR 39, just west of SR 96 before you reach Davis Rd., will close Monday, November 13 for a culvert repair. The detour route for westbound motorists is SR 39 west to SR 96, southwest on SR 96 to SR 598, north on SR 598 to SR 39, and reverse for eastbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen by this coming Friday.
County Road 371
CR 371 (Union St.), south of Pleasant St. in Lucas, is closed for a bridge replacement. The detour route for northbound motorists is CR 371 (Union St.) to SR 39, east on SR 39 to Broad/Lucas-Perryville Rd., southeast on Broad/Lucas-Perryville Rd. to Dickes Rd., west on Dickes Rd. to Moffet Rd., north on Moffet Rd. to S. Union St., and reverse for southbound motorists. The project is expected to be complete this month.
