The Richland County Regional Planning Commission is sponsoring the Richland County Active Transportation Photo Context.

All community members are invited to submit images that are people centered and infused with the joy, energy and impact of walking and bicycling. The contest is open to participants of all ages.

The Commission is looking for creative photos of good quality and resolution that could be used in the Active Transportation Plan and other materials. You are permitted to submit up to 5 photos for this contest, please include your name, address, phone number, email and a photo description in the form. Add hashtag #activerichlandcounty to the photo description. Winners will be chosen by a jury composed of RCRPC and other community members and organizations. Prizes will be announced soon.

Competition begins Monday, May 15 at 8 AM and ends Sat, July 15 at 8 AM. Winners will be announced 7 business days after determination.

The purpose of this contest is to showcase and celebrate the many different ways our county is becoming more active, with focus on how walking and biking improves your quality of life! We are not looking for your best images of innovative facilities, but the vibrant faces of the people who enjoy walking, biking, or even riding the bus here in our county.
