A larger number of onlookers sang, snuggled, and said “Ah!” this evening as the official community Christmas Tree was switched on at Richland Carrousel Park.

The number was up from that of the year before, not only attending the tree lighting itself, but in going up and down adjacent streets to visit local shops and eateries. Both Element of Art studio and Susy’s Smokeroom at City News had musical acts performing, the latter hosting local band S’yVelt.

As in years past, the lights were turned on by Mansfield Mayor Doug Theaker following a joint rendition of “Jingle Bells” by those watching.
