Meet Dan Riedl: A Leader in Cybersecurity
Dan Riedl brings extensive expertise to the Speaker Series. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Studies from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, he launched his legal career as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Franklin County, Ohio, and later served as a Special Prosecutor for the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
Riedl joined the United States Attorney’s Office in 2008 and has since specialized in cyber-related crimes. In 2019, he was appointed Chief of the National Security and Cyber Unit, where he leads investigations on critical matters of cybersecurity.

The Thinking Globally, Working Locally series aims to enhance the region’s awareness of cybersecurity challenges. The series also aims to foster collaboration with defense entities like the 179th Cyberspace Wing, which will have representatives present at each event to discuss their new missions and strategies.
