Mansfield Police Chief Keith Porch issued a press release on Monday afternoon related to a Sunday homicide. The Division of Police seeks your assistance in obtaining evidence to see that the perpetrator is apprehended and faces consequences for the crime.

The press release read as follows:

At approximately 6:11PM yesterday (Sunday), the Mansfield Division of Police responded to 183 Rowland Avenue Apt 2 in reference to a deceased person.

Upon officers’ arrival at the location, a relative advised that he had found the victim, 38-year-old Deanna Holm, deceased inside the residence. During the death investigation, it was found that the victim had what appeared to be several stab wounds to her body.

Major Crimes Detectives are investigating this incident as a homicide and a search warrant was served at the location and certain evidence was collected. The victim’s car, a 2007 red Ford Fusion, was missing from her residence and was later located in the city parked on Blanche Street. The vehicle was seized and will be searched for possible evidence that may be related to the crime.

Ms. Hoam’s death is the first homicide of 2022 in our city. We are asking that anyone who may have additional information regarding this crime to call Major Crimes Detective Larry Schacherer at 419.755.976.
