Recognizing Two Decades of Clean Marinas
This year’s conference honors the 20th anniversary of the Ohio Clean Marinas Program. Launched in 2004 with funding from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the program began as a partnership between ODNR’s Office of Coastal Management and the Ohio Sea Grant College Program. It expanded statewide in 2015, supported by the ODNR Division of Parks and Watercraft.
The program encourages marinas and boaters to adopt environmentally conscious practices that help preserve Ohio’s coastal and inland waterways. Its initiatives range from increasing awareness of environmental laws to promoting innovative solutions for clean water and fresh air.
A Day of Learning and Networking
The Ohio Marina Conference offers participants a chance to deepen their understanding of environmental stewardship while connecting with industry peers. Registration is $65 and includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and refreshments. Marina owners, operators, staff, and recreational boating professionals are all invited to attend.
