On July 24, the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) board approved an unprecedented $22,704,702 in grants. This monumental funding supports a wide range of recipients, including Ohio artists, nonprofits, arts and cultural organizations, students and educators, and public arts programming. Notably, this approval represents the largest single round of grant awards in the OAC’s history.

The 935 grants approved at this meeting signify the initial and major state fiscal year 2025 funding round for the OAC. This significant funding highlights the council’s ongoing commitment to supporting arts programming across all 88 counties in Ohio, a goal it has successfully achieved for the past nine fiscal years.
These grants are part of the state’s 2024-2025 operating budget, which included a record-high appropriation of nearly $51.1 million for the OAC over the two-year period.
