Despite the warmer weather, the Warm Up America group at the Mansfield Correctional Institution (ManCI) continues to provide for the homeless and victims of domestic violence in the Richland County area.

Their current donation consists of 76 hats, 6 blankets, 9 scarves, 2 cowls, 2 shawls and 1 pair of mittens.

Offenders in the Mental Health Department of Mansfield Correctional have joined together to form a group supporting the Warm Up America foundation.  Warm Up America was started in the early 1990s to assist those who are in need to keep warm in the winter months by crocheting blankets, hats and scarves for those who are homeless, in domestic violence shelters or have suffered great loss through natural disasters.

More information on Warm Up America can be found here.
