ODOT District Three has released its weekly report highlighting road construction projects which are beginning or underway in the multi-county area it serves. What follows are posted projects taking place within Ashland, Crawford, and Richland Counties.

Please stay safe and pay attention to these closures and work taking place during the week beginning April 12.

ASHLAND COUNTY
State Route 3
SR 3, from the Village of Loudonville to the City of Wooster, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete by September. 

Interstate 71
I-71, just south of the US 250 interchange, will have daytime shoulder closures only as needed to complete culvert repairs. The project is expected to be complete in October.

State Route 511
SR 511, south of US 42 at the overpass bridge over I-71, will have the southbound lane closed for structure work. Traffic will be maintained by temporary traffic signal. I-71 southbound, just underneath the bridge, will the shoulder closed so that crews can work underneath the bridge. The project is expected to be complete in October.

CRAWFORD COUNTY
State Route 4
State Route 4, at the intersection of SR 4 and Irving Street, will be reduced to one lane for signal work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in May; however, all work is weather dependent and is subject to change. 

State Route 19 ***NEW***
SR 19, from Evans Avenue to the City of Bucyrus corporation limits, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. Crews will tentatively begin the week of April 20. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in July. 

State Route 19: Resurfacing
SR 19, from Carey Road (CR 27) to SR 4, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in September.

State Route 19: Culvert Replacement ***NEW***
SR 19, just south of Rettig Road (TR 169), will close Monday, April 13 for a culvert replacement. The detour route for northbound motorists is SR 19 to SR 288, west on SR 288 to SR 61, north on SR 61 to SR 309, north on SR 309 to SR 19, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on Friday, April 17.

US Route 30
US 30 eastbound and westbound, from just east of SR 98 to Old Lincoln Way, will have single lane closures for bridge sealing work on structures on/over US 30. The project is expected to be complete in August.

State Route 97 ***NEW***
SR 97, between Millsboro Road to the Morrow County line, will be reduced to one lane for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete by July. 

State Route 309/61 – City of Galion
SR 309/61 in the City of Galion, between N. East St. and Gelsanliter Rd., is closed for the City’s sanitary sewer project. The detour route for southbound motorists is SR 309/61 (Charles St.) to Gelsanliter Rd., south on Gelsanliter Rd. to SR 97 (Harding Way), west on SR 97 to SR 309/61 (N. East St.), and reverse for northbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on Monday, May 11. For more information contact the City of Galion Service Department at 419-468-2818.

RICHLAND COUNTY
US Route 30 Westbound Exit Ramp ***NEW***
The US 30 westbound exit ramp to SR 39 northbound will be closed at night from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. ONLY beginning Monday, April 13 to complete relocation work. The detour route for motorists headed to SR 39 northbound will continue on US 30 westbound to the Trimble Road exit, turn left onto Trimble Road and re-enter US 30 eastbound, then take the US 30 eastbound exit ramp to SR 39. The ramp is scheduled to reopen on Friday, May 1. 

US Route 30: Minor Rehabilitation ***NEW***
US 30, from 4th Street to SR 309, will have shoulder closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions. Crews will begin concrete work on bridge piers beginning Monday, April 13. The project is expected to be complete by August. 

Interstate 71
I-71 northbound and southbound, from the Morrow County line to SR 97, will have single lane, day time closures and double lane, night time closures for a resurfacing project. Crews continue night work for pavement repairs in the passing and middle lanes on I-71 from the Morrow/Richland County line to the SR 13 exit. Pavement repairs will begin in both zones simultaneously. The project is expected to be complete in October.

State Route 545 ***NEW***
SR 545, just south of Pittenger Road, will close Monday, April 13 for a culvert replacement. The detour route for southbound motorists is SR 545 to SR 96, west on SR 96 to SR 13, south on SR 13 to US 30, east on US 30 to SR 545, and reverse for northbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on Monday, April 20.

State Route 603 ***NEW***
SR 603, between Pleasant Valley Road and SR 95, will close Monday, April 13 for a maintenance repair project on a retaining wall. The detour route for motorists headed northbound on SR 603 will travel east on SR 95 to SR 39, northwest on SR 39 to SR 603, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on Thursday, May 28.
