In honor of Veterans Day, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) will offer U.S. military, both active duty and veterans, a 30% discount off camping, getaway rentals, and state-operated cabin stays during November.

“It’s always a privilege to host the brave individuals who served to protect our country,” said ODNR Director Mary Mertz. “We hope veterans, along with their friends and families, will have the opportunity to make special memories at Ohio state parks.”

Locally, both Malabar Farm and Mohican will honor the discount, subject to availability. To check availability or to make a reservation, visit ohiostateparks.reserveamerica.com. Use the promo code “VeteransDay19” when making a reservation. This discount applies to walk-ins or new reservations at open campgrounds, as well as new cabin reservations at not just Malabar Farm and Mohican, but also Buck Creek, Cowan Lake, Dillon, Lake Hope, Hocking Hills, Pike Lake, and Pymatuning state parks.

Throughout the year, ODNR offers a 10% discount for active or military veterans for camping, cabins, and lodge rooms at any of Ohio’s nine state park lodges. Additionally, ODNR offers free camping for permanently disabled veterans. For more information on discounts at Ohio State Parks, visit parks.ohiodnr.gov/discounts.

Military identification must be presented at the time of arrival or check-in to receive the discount.

Restrictions and blackout dates do apply, and this offer cannot be combined with other discounts or applied to group blocks.
