It will soon be easier to get from Richland County to points in the Rocky Mountain West.

Last week, Delta Air Lines announced the addition of daily nonstop flights between Salt Lake City (SLC) and John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) beginning in June.

“Salt Lake City will be Delta’s 13th nonstop destination from John Glenn International and will serve the needs of a market that’s in high demand,” said Joseph R. Nardone, President & CEO of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority.

The first flight from SLC to CMH departs June 16, and the first flight from CMH to SLC departs the next morning on June 17. The aircraft to be used will be the A319, with 132 seats: 12 in first class, 18 in Delta Comfort+, amd 102 in the main cabin.

Flights are now available for booking at Delta.com.

Flight departures will be as follows (local time):

Columbus to Salt Lake City – Depart 8:30 AM, Arrive 10:16 AM

Salt Lake City to Columbus – Depart 5:15 PM, Arrive 10:43 PM

As the airport’s third busiest airline, Delta will offer more than 30 daily flights between Atlanta, Boston, Cancun, Detroit, Fort Myers, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York-JFK, New York-LaGuardia, Orlando, Raleigh/Durham, and now Salt Lake City.
