Special to 1812Blockhouse

Mansfield City Schools has announced that the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Breakfast and Program will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Mansfield Senior High Commons and Auditorium

“We are looking forward to having the event in-person,” said Superintendent Stan Jefferson. 2021’s performance was held virtually. Masks are recommended for attendance and will be provided at the door.

The theme, “We Are One CommUNITY,” is centered on the connections between school, community, and community agencies. A student-focused program will include those from the district as well as students from OSU-Mansfield. Performances will vary from song, dance, and speeches. Local and State representatives are expected to attend.

Breakfast will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m., with the program running from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The event is open to the public. Breakfast tickets are $5 and are available beginning Friday, December 17. They can be purchased online at the district’s website at www.tygerpride.com.

T-Shirts are available to purchase through this link https://martinlutherkingcelebration2021.itemorder.com/ and will be handed out when you arrive at the program.

All orders must be placed by January 7, 2022, so order early.
