The Mid-Ohio School has opened its enrollment officially for the 33rd season, offering many professional driving and motorcycle courses that cater to every skill level. The 2025 season has an exciting list of programs starting in March that serve everyone-from teen drivers with life-saving techniques to experienced racers honing their edge on track.

Courses for Drivers and Riders
Since its initiation, The Mid-Ohio School has gained a reputation for providing expert training in vehicle handling, defensive driving, and high-performance racing skills. The 2025 offerings include:
- Teen Defensive Driving Program-This opens the season on March 29-30 by preparing young drivers for real-life driving challenges with life-saving techniques.
- High Performance Driving and Racing Courses-These start in late April and of late course for experienced drivers channeling their skills towards competitive racing.
- Performance Track Riding-Sportbike riders can take to the renowned 2.4-mile, 15-turn Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, with the first session scheduled for May 12.
- Open Test & Tune Events-These twilight sessions, starting May 8, allow participants to drive their street-legal or race cars on the track.
- Corporate Driving Experiences-These are team-building events available on select dates that provide hands-on driver education.

State-of-the-Art Training Fleet
Participants at The Mid-Ohio School train with a fleet of high-performance vehicles, including Acura ILXs, Honda Civics, and Honda S2000s, all upgraded with Hawk Brake pads and Summit Racing products to maximize their driving experience. The program also features two specially equipped vehicles with skid systems, helping drivers master car control techniques for handling oversteer and understeer—especially in inclement weather conditions.
A Legacy of Safety and Performance
Since its inception, The Mid-Ohio School has graduated 87,372 students, including 25,327 teenage drivers and 23,752 motorcyclists. The school has earned recognition for its contributions to road safety, including the prestigious Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Partners for Safety Award. It also collaborates with Maria’s Message, a program dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of distracted driving, and supports the Patrol’s Emergency Vehicle Operations Course held at Mid-Ohio.
