Disney’s Descendants: The Musical tells the story of Disney’s beloved heroes and royalty, who are living happily ever after in the kingdom of Auradon. It is present-day and all of the terrifying villains and troublesome sidekicks have been banished to the magic-free Isle of the Lost. That is until Ben, the kind teenage son of Belle and The Beast, offers a chance of redemption for the troublemaking children of the most-evil Disney villains of all–Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos are the offspring of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Cruella De Vil, and Jafar. When they are invited to Auradon Prep to attend school with the children of their parents’ sworn enemies, they face a completely foreign world and way of life.  Before long, the four Villain Kids have a difficult choice to make between following in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learning to be good.

Based on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, Disney’s Descendants: The Musical is a brand-new musical comedy featuring the beloved characters and hit songs from the films, which were directed by Kenny Ortega.  The theatrical version features a book and additional lyrics by Glory Days writer Nick Blaemire.  The contemporary pop score, which includes songs by more than 20 writers, has been adapted by Madeline Smith and orchestrated by Matthew Tishler.
