The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction has shared the news that the Mansfield Correctional Institution recently held a “kickoff” for the Recovery First Pod.

At the event, Director Mohr addressed the audience and praised the hard work and efforts of the offenders and staff to make the program a reality.

The Philosophy of the program is “Today is a New Beginning.” The 120 bed Recovery First Pod is focused on recovery from addiction and strengthening each other through Orientation, Education, Motivation, Recreation, Affirmation and Sanitation. The 3-C Recovery program is mutually supported from Unit Management staff along with program oversight provided by Recovery Services.

All in attendance were invited to refreshments at the conclusion of the event.
