Kingwood Center Gardens in Mansfield has announced their plan to kick off the holiday season on Saturday, November 30 with their Christmas at Kingwood program, which has become a cherished holiday tradition over the years. The program will run through Sunday, January 5.

This year’s opening day includes a “Stuff the Sleigh” initiative; guests are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys that will then be donated for area children in need. Kingwood Center is partnering with local charitable agencies, including the Domestic Violence Shelter, the Salvation Army, and Children Services, to distribute the collected toys. Visitors that participate in “Stuff the Sleigh” will receive free admission to Christmas at Kingwood on November 30.

The Mid-Ohio Youth Jazz Orchestra on hand on opening day, presenting “A Big Band Christmas” in the Carriage House. Performances will be given at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM and are included with admission.

Kingwood Center’s stunning outdoor Trail of Lights display will be back this year, along with other returning favorites, such as the Community Tree Walk, Members Family Day with Santa, the Christmas Market, and the train display by Ashland Model Railroaders & Railfans. Additionally, there will be a visit from Buddy the Elf and Santa’s reindeer as they enjoy some respite from their Christmas travels.

Christmas at Kingwood will be held Thursday through Sunday, November 30 to January 5, from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Admission is $5/person and free for Kingwood Members and children 12 and under. The Trimble Road parking lot may be used for parking; please be mindful that it is still a construction site, but parking there will give visitors a sneak peek of all of the new things to come at Kingwood Center.
