The City of Mansfield has notified the community that the Main project is officially underway, with the first phase focused on replacing the waterline. This essential improvement will run through June, starting at Main & 5th and moving south. While construction zones and orange barrels can be a challenge, downtown Mansfield remains open for business, and there are plenty of ways to make your visit smooth and stress-free.
What You Need to Know: Roadwork & Parking Updates
🚧 Construction Timeline: The waterline replacement is the first step in revitalizing Main Street and will be ongoing through June. Crews are starting at Main & 5th and will work their way south.
🚗 Traffic & Parking Adjustments:
- Main Street is OPEN, but on-street parking is unavailable between 5th & 4th.
- Looking for a quicker route? Use Mulberry Street (southbound) or Diamond Street (northbound) to move efficiently through downtown.
- Convenient Parking Options: A large, free municipal parking lot at 4th & Main is available, accessible from both Main and Diamond Streets.
