Little Buckeye Children’s Museum, a local play-based family destination, was nationally recognized last week in the JRA article, “Five Small Museums Generating Big Impact for Their Communities.”
JRA, a prominent design firm, is a proud sponsor of the Association of Children’s Museums Small Museums Financial Aid program, which rewarded complimentary Interactivity conference registrations to the leaders of Little Buckeye Children’s Museum in 2020.
“These scholarships allow smaller institutions from around the world to attend ACM’s annual Interactivity Conference, where they can interact with their peers, learn best practices, and become inspired with fresh new ideas that they can use to better serve their communities,” said Shawn McCoy, JRA Vice President and ACM Education Committee Member.Little Buckeye Children’s Museum was listed #2 in JRA’s “Five Small Museums Generating Big Impact for Their Communities” and was applauded for how it “continued to serve its community, offering informative blogs on combatting isolation and resources on easy and educational activities parents can do at home” during its 2020 closure.
“We are honored to be recognized by JRA. Community impact is a strong value of Little Buckeye Children’s Museum, so it is nice to be recognized by such an esteemed organization for our work!”, says Little Buckeye Children’s Museum Executive Director, Fred Boll.
