There’s still an opportunity for kids to join in the fun at Kingwood Center Garden’s Gingerbread House Workshop. As you will read below in an article we posted in October, a workshop for children will be held this coming Saturday. Photos from last weekend’s Workshop are at the end of this article.

You may have noticed that the aisles of your favorite big box store have been taking on a new appearance over the last several days. Gone are the orange and black decorations and, while some fall colors remain to celebrate Thanksgiving, the unmistakable arrival of the Christmas season is upon us.

And, as Sirius radio launches its holiday-themed station this week, so too are Christmas-y events starting to pop up on the calendar.

One such is a series of classes on how to construct your own gingerbread house. What better place to do so than at Kingwood Center Gardens? Artisan Ginny Miller will be on hand to guide you in this effort, and the result can be taken home or left for display.

On Saturday, November 5, a class for children will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, and one for adults from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Then, on the following Saturday, a similar class for children will take place.

The cost for the children’s class is $18, or $16 for members and volunteers. For adults, the charge is $25, or $22 for members and volunteers.

Look at how much fun our first children's Gingerbread house making workshop was! Don't fret there is still one more day…
