In a Monday afternoon announcement on Facebook, Richland County Foundation President Brady Groves shared decisions made earlier in the day during a Foundation Board meeting.
After reaching an undestanding of the situation through discussions with community leaders, the response will include the following:
Revamping the Grant Making Process
The unrestricted grant making process will be changed for non-profits through use of a simple, online application. The initial focus of available funds will be in the health and human services area and will then expand to include all non-profits.
Richland Gives
The Foundation will also be retooling its Richland Gives platform to allow non-profits to fundraiser through the end of June. Further, the Foundation will be covering any transactional costs with the exception of a credit card fee.
