When the totals were tallied, Tuesday’s Richland Gives generated a record setting amount for area non-profits.

Richland Gives coincides with the international day of giving, #GivingTuesday, and is designed to encourage people to contribute to local nonprofits they care about through a single giving platform/website. The Richland County Foundation sponsors the day to build capacity, grow philanthropy and make the community stronger.

Tuesday’s total stood at $187,770, a $15,000 increase over the previous year.

Here is a sampling of results from Mansfield area non-profits:

  • Healing Land and People/North Central Ohio Land Conservancy — $9,465 from 28 donors
  • Little Buckeye Childrens Museum — $13,590 from 45 donors
  • Friendly House — $9,720 from 72 donors
  • Ohio Bird Sancutary — $4,350 from 42 donors
  • Kingwood Center Gardens — $2,920 from 21 donors
  • OSU Mansfield Emergency Fund — $6,935 from 52 donors
