Food trucks may not seem to be as prevalent in our neck of the woods as they are in places like Columbus or Cleveland, but the Mansfield Department of Parks and Recreation is working to create more awareness for our local food truck industry. The second annual Food Truck Festival is scheduled for October 11, beginning at 11:00 AM and running until 6:00 PM (or later) at South Park in Mansfield.
We recommend that you come hungry. The current list of food trucks that will be on hand includes Georgia Boy BBQ, Truckin Trav Street Food, OH Pizza, Express-Oh! Cafe, Smitty’s Food for Thought/Ohio Waffle Company, Three C’s Creations, The Food Lab, Ms. Lil’s Fish, In Da Glo Grill, Doc’s Deli, Big Pappy’s BBQ, and Rollie Polar.
There will also be vendors on hand, so you can grab some delicious food and also do some shopping. While you are in South Park, you can also check out the 1812 Blockhouse and simply enjoy the natural scenery. The Mansfield Department of Parks and Recreation works to keep the parks in top form in order to offer residents a relaxing place to experience nature within the city, and they regularly offer a variety of programs within the parks.
