The Richland County Farm Bureau is joining with its counterpart in Crawford County in hosting a regional safety meeting this Saturday the Sunrise Cooperative facility near Crestline.

The two-hour session includes a grain bin safety session and extraction demonstration and Stop the Bleed with stations focusing how to control blood loss in emergency situations. A limited number of tourniquet kits will be given away and as well as a drawing for a grain bin rescue tube to be presented to one area fire department.

Members enrolled with the Farm Bureau Workers’ Compensation group with CompManagement can use this seminar to fulfill their annual safety requirement for the July 2018 to June 2019 period.

This year’s Annual Richland County Farm Bureau Meeting and Dinner will be a buffet-style meal on Wednesday, September 5 beginning at 6 PM. Doors open at 5:30 PM at the meeting venue, Der Dutchman restaurant in Bellville. All Farm Bureau members are welcome and the cost is only $12 per person.

Guest speaker for the evening is a representative from Kalmbach Feeds.

The evening will also include voting on important issues and policy resolutions, new county trustees and Ohio Farm Bureau delegates.
