Numbers released Friday by Richland Public Health suggest that Richland County is joining other locations which have seen increases in the number of COVID-19 cases over the last month.

The following categories and numbers were reported. The number in parenthesis is that reported at the end of August.

  • Confirmed Cases — 796 (654)
  • Probable Cases — 65 (40)
  • Total Cases — 861 (694)
  • Cases With Recoveries — 751 (641)
  • Hospitalizations — 106 (95)
  • ICU Admissions — 33 (33)
  • Deaths — 19 (17)
  • Age Range — 6 months to 97 years with a median age of 42.

The reported case numbers suggest that there are currently 91 active cases of COVID-19 among Richland Countians. For comparison, that number stood at 38 near the end of August.

In mid-July, however, there were 133 active cases.

Note that apparently there were no new ICU admissions in Richland County during the month of September.
