Set in the middle-eastern town of Agrabah, Aladdin and his three friends, Babkak, Omar, and Kassim are down on their luck until Aladdin discovers a magic lamp and the Genie who has the power to grant him three wishes. At the royal palace, the princess, Jasmine, is feeling hemmed in by her father’s desire to find her a groom; while the Sultan’s right-hand man, Jafar, is plotting to take over the throne. Wanting to earn the respect of the princess, Jasmine, Aladdin embarks on an adventure that will test his will and his moral character.

Disney’s Aladdin, Jr. is based upon the 1992 animated film, and the 2014 hit Broadway production about the “diamond in the rough” street rat who learns that his true worth lies within. Aladdin’s story is an ancient one with universal themes, but has had such wonderful treatment by the Disney organization; first with the animated film, and now with it’s residence on Broadway. The MY Theatre production features the music of the legendary Alan Menken; and songs both from the animated film, as well as new songs created for the Broadway production.

All of the fabulous music offers a little something for everyone…from the romantic to the adventurous. Audiences will not be disappointed.” shares Maloney. “When you combine all of that Disney music and magic, with the energy of young performers, and the beauty of the Renaissance stage, it’s sure to provide a great family experience!
