Tonight at 7:00 PM, Mansfield City Council will convene in Court Room 1 on the second floor of the Municipal Building to discuss a handful of topics related to the city’s infrastructure, property management, and public projects.
Focusing on Community Infrastructure
At the meeting, one of the major topics on the agenda will be Bill 25-015. This proposal will allow the Public Works Director to secure a contract for replacing a culvert across Stanfield Run in Middle Park. The culvert is essential for managing water flow safely and efficiently, and the replacement is expected to address erosion issues and help preserve the park’s natural setting.
More information on similar projects can be found on the City of Mansfield Public Works webpage.
Upcoming Land Detachment Proposal
Another agenda item will be Bill 25-016 which will address the detachment of specific land from the City of Mansfield as defined by the Ohio Revised Code 709.38. The land in question is a 9.554 acre parcel owned by Aaron and Katharine Kosht, and would subsequently become part of Washington Township.

Addressing Community Claims
The council will also review Bill 25-017 and Bill 25-018, which pertain to claims made by local residents Jeff Fairchild (for $553.37) and Philip Enzerra, respectively. Fairchild is a resident of 1824 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd in Lexington, and Enzerra at 95 Brinkerhoff Ave in Mansfield.
Enhancing Recreational Spaces and Trail Connectivity
Bill 25-019 would enable the Mayor and Public Works Director to accept a grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for $150,000. The funds will be directed toward the Mansfield B & O Trail Connector Project, an initiative aimed at improving local trail systems and enhancing non-motorized transportation options.
The next Council meeting will take place on February 18 at 7:00 PM.
