As September winds to a close, the City of Mansfield is looking ahead. About three months ahead, to be precise.

In a social media post on Wednesday afternoon, the City put out a request seeking the donation of the 2022 City Christmas Tree, which traditionally graces the entrance to Richland Carousel Park.

It’s not just any pine tree that is being sought — the ideal specimen will be at least 30 feet in height, and in order to successfully and safely cut the tree, it must be accessible to removal equipment. After removing the tree, the City’s Street Department will grind the stump and repair any damage caused to the lawn.

Trees with the corporation limits of the City of Mansfield are preferred.

If you have an evergreen tree you would like to donate, an it meets the above specifications, please contact the Street Department at 419-755-9803.
