It’s one of the area’s most beloved holiday traditions.

Christmas at Kingwood will be unique this year in at least two ways. First, it will be the first since the opening of the new Garden Gateway, which is sure to add to the holiday atmosphere and fun. Second, this year’s edition will include reserved times in light of the public health situation.

Destination Mansfield – Richland County describes the event this way:

“Christmas at Kingwood will open Saturday, November 28 and run through January 3, 2021. Expanded days and times have been added with online pre-sale of tickets required. Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursday times are 4 – 8 PM; Friday, Saturday, Sunday is 4 – 9 PM. The Garden & Gift Shop and Gateway Café will be open.

Kingwood will be closed on Mondays along with December 24-25 and December 31-January 1.

Entrance will be at the Trimble Road gate with admission in the new Garden Gateway visitor center. Tickets are $5 for 13 years and older; 12 and under and members are free.

To provide a safe experience, all guests (including members and children) will require advanced ticketed registration, capacity is limited at Kingwood Hall, and face-coverings are required inside buildings. Capacities will be limited by the half hour, and walk-in tickets are subject to availability.

The 2nd annual Stuff the Sleigh is December 1 – 3. Bring a new, unwrapped toys to donate to area children and receive a coupon for 20% off a $25 minimum purchase in the Garden & Gift Shop. Toys will be distributed to Richland County Children Services, Domestic Violence Shelter, and The Salvation Army.”

The Kingwood at Christmas page on the Center’s website highlights the following:

“A new entrance to the festivities in our new visitor center, the Garden Gateway! Enjoy delicious treats served by Buehler’s in Kingwood’s Gateway Café, buy unique gifts in the Garden & Gift Shop, and explore the Exhibit Gallery before you head out to the outdoor displays.

The Community Tree Walk will continue to host trees creatively decorated by community partners.

Buehler’s Snacks & Sips will be located in the Workshop featuring hot beverages, snacks, and spirits.

Kingwood Hall will be themed as “Christmas Through The Years” and much more!
