The Mansfield-Richland County Public Library (MRCPL) is rallying the Richland County community this March with an ambitious goal—110,000 checkouts in just one month! As part of the Book It to the Goal initiative, every library checkout between March 3-29—whether in person or online—automatically enters participants into a giveaway for a chance to win one of two $50 Walmart gift cards.

From books and eBooks to movies, magazines, and the unique Library of Things, every borrowed item counts toward the challenge. By participating, library patrons not only help MRCPL reach its goal but also enjoy access to a wealth of resources designed to educate, entertain, and inspire.

A Library System Built for the Community

Serving a population of 121,154 residents across Richland County, MRCPL is a vital community hub. With a collection of 469,325 volumes, the library offers diverse resources, including:
📚 Books and eBooks
🎶 Music and Movies
📰 Magazines
🛠️ Unique kits and tools from the Library of Things

MRCPL’s borrowing policies are designed for convenience, allowing most items to be renewed automatically up to three times, as long as there are no holds.

Join the Challenge & Make Every Checkout Count!

Checking out materials has never been more rewarding. Whether borrowing a new bestseller, streaming a digital audiobook, or discovering a hidden gem, every item checked out in March contributes to the 110,000 checkout goal.

Residents are encouraged to spread the word, explore the vast collection, and make the most of the library’s free resources. Together, the community can turn this reading challenge into a success—one checkout at a time!
