For Richland Countians, the deadline to register for the 2025 local primary election is fast approaching. Monday, April 7 is the last day to register to vote or update your voter information before the May 6 primary election. Registration forms must be postmarked, emailed, or faxed by this date to be considered valid.
The Richland County Board of Elections office, located at 1495 West Longview Avenue, Suite 101, Mansfield, will be open until 9 PM on April 7 to accommodate last-minute registrations. After 4 PM voters must use the lower-level back parking entrance at the southwest corner of the building.
How and Where to Register
Registering to vote or updating your information is simple, with multiple options available:
- Pick up a voter registration form at any Mansfield/Richland County Public Library branch.
- Download the form from the Ohio Secretary of State’s website.
- Register online at VoteOhio.gov if you have an Ohio driver’s license or state ID.
- Submit forms by mail, email, or fax to the Richland County Board of Elections at (419) 774-5530 (phone) or (419) 774-5544 (fax).
Already registered? If you’ve moved or changed your name, you must update your voter registration by April 7 to ensure your information is current.

Knowing where to vote is just as important as registering. To find your polling location:
- Visit the Ohio Secretary of State’s website, which provides a polling location search tool.
- Contact the Ohio Secretary of State’s office directly at 1-877-767-6446 if the online service is temporarily unavailable.
