Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted has announced that absentee voting in the November 7th General Election began yesterday, October 11 for all registered Ohio voters. Voter registration for that election has now closed.

The full, detailed and interactive 2017 elections calendar is available here.

Across Ohio’s 88 counties, there are 1,517 respective local issues that will appear before voters. Details are available here. Voters will also be deciding a number of local races and can obtain additional information on these contests by contacting their county board of elections.

All Ohio voters may now vote via in-person or by mail-in absentee ballot. Information on how to do so in Richland County is available at this location online. Also available on that site are a sample ballot and the ability to find your polling location.

Early voting for military and overseas voters is also underway. Military voters who have not yet registered to vote or submitted a request for absentee ballots in 2017 may still do so by visiting OhioMilitaryVotes.com. Overseas voters can visit OhioVoterPassport.com. There they can download the Federal Post Card Application, register to vote and request an absentee ballot, read through frequently asked questions, track the status of their ballot and sign up for election reminders via email and social media.
