Presented by the Hampstead Stage Company, Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol is coming to Kingwood Center Gardens on Thursday, December 5, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The delightful tale of miser Ebenezer Scrooge, and his clerk Bob Cratchit, is a familiar holiday tradition.Through visits from the spirits of the season, Scrooge learns the true meaning of Christmas. This charming tale also educates the audience about the class system of Victorian England and encourages them to help others that are less fortunate.
The Hampstead Stage Company of Center Barnstead, New Hampshire, is a nationally touring company whose goal is to bring great books to life through live theater; sparking an interest in reading and creating a new way to use your imagination. Each show consists of two actors who play multiple characters. The Company was founded over 31 years ago, and has performed over 2,000 shows across the nation in various venutes including theatres, schools, libraries, and more.
In August 2017, the troupe was at Kingwood performing the timeless tale, Pinnochio.
Tickets are $8 for non-member adults: $8 (includes $5 Christmas at Kingwood admission), or $3 for members and children ages 6-12. Children 5 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 419-522-0211
Prior to the show, at 5:30 PM, a free children’s activity will be held.
