The current edition of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s takes place this Saturday, September 17 at the campus of OSU Mansfield.

All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer’s further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Registration begins at 9:30 AM, followed by a short ceremony a half hour later, and the walk proper beginning at 11:00 AM. Participants must regiseter, and while there is no fee to do so, those involved are asked to consider making a personal donation to these efforts. Children may also walk if registered by their parent or guardian.

Every registered participant will receive a T-shirt after achieving the fundraising minimum of $100. Walk is a rain or shine event. However, in the case of severe weather, it will be canceled. If this is the case, the Walk homepage will be updated on or before the morning of the event.

As of the noon hour on Thursday, a total of $18,805.75 had been raised out of an event goal of $45,000. 84 participants are registered on a total of 23 teams.
