On Friday, folks in several Richland County communities should pay attention to things flying overhead.

In specific, look to see a C-130 aircraft from the 179th Airlift Wing, stationed at Mansfield Lahm, as the Wing conducts a series of flyovers that will take them to sites across central, east central, and north central Ohio.

The aim is to flyover cities and hospitals as a salute to heroes fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

In Richland County, the event will take place in the following locations and times. Please note that these are approximately and are subject to some change.

Observers are asked to watch from home.

  • Mansfield Lahm: 11:00 AM
  • Ontario: 11:02 AM
  • Mansfield: 11:03 AM
  • Lexington: 11:04 AM
  • Bellville: 11:05 AM
  • Shelby: 12:51 PM
