A summer afternoon in Shelby will carry a touch of holiday spirit this July, as the community is invited to take part in a “Christmas in July” Cleaning Supply Drive benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio.
The event will take place Sunday, July 12 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM in the Shelby YMCA parking lot. Organizers are inviting residents, families, businesses, and community groups to help “fill the truck” with much-needed household and cleaning supplies.

Ronald McDonald House Charities is known for helping families stay close while children receive medical care. Behind that mission are everyday needs that keep the house running, from disinfecting wipes and laundry supplies to paper towels and hand soap. That is where this local drive comes in.
Suggested donation items include Lysol spray, disinfecting wipes, scent-free laundry pods, toilet cleaner, Clorox, hand soap, and paper towels. The event flyer also encourages attendees to bring pull tabs, a familiar RMHC collection item that helps support the organization’s work.
