Senator Obhof Talks Transportation

This past week, Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof, who represents Richland County as a part of Ohio Senate District 22, issued a press release concerning the recently-passed biennial transportatation budget.

Commission Reportedly Chooses Lahm Project for Funding

Sources reported last week that the Ohio Military Facilities Commission approved only two requests for funding at their recent meeting.

According to the Dayton Business Journal, one of those projects was a $4 million taxiway relocation at Mansfield Lahm, done to support the 179th Airlift Wing. More…

The New Store Continues To Make A Difference

The New Store provided clothing for 1,100 Richland County children – kindergarten through eighth grade – during the current school year. Six hundred of them were from Mansfield City Schools.

Foundation Supports Summertime Programs For Kids

The Richland County Foundation is supporting summertime programs focused on children.  A committee of Foundation Board of Trustees and community members recently awarded 20 grants totaling $39,416.

Mansfield Division Of Police Announces Arrests In Shooting Incidents

The Mansfield Division of Police announces the arrests of two individuals believed responsible for shooting incidents within our city.

On Saturday April 8, Mychael Martin (B/M/26) was arrested in Pensacola, Florida by members of the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Task Force on a “Felonious Assault” warrant out of this agency. Mr. Martin was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. He is a suspect in a shooting a few weeks ago in which the victim was shot several times. More…
