This past Friday, the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development celebrated the grand re-opening of Whispering Willow Way, a beloved boutique now located in a larger space at 41 E. Main St. in downtown Shelby, Ohio. Owned by local entrepreneur Tonya Bishop, the boutique is known for its cozy farmhouse chic style and has become a go-to spot for both shoppers and crafters alike. The move to the new, larger location offers patrons an enhanced shopping experience, complete with a new studio craft area for hosting a variety of creative events.

New Space, New Offerings

The move to the new location provides Whispering Willow Way with the opportunity to expand its offerings. While the boutique has always been a charming spot to find farmhouse-inspired décor and clothing, the addition of the craft studio area is a notable upgrade. This space allows the shop to host both large and small events, offering creative activities such as hat decorating and stained glass décor workshops. The boutique also now offers a delicious range of chocolate candies, adding a sweet touch to the shopping experience.

The re-opening event was attended by local leaders and supporters of the downtown business community, all of whom welcomed the expansion as a boost to Shelby’s growing retail scene.

Crafting Events for the Community

Whispering Willow Way has become more than just a boutique; it’s a creative hub for the community. With its expanded space, the store can now host an array of workshops, designed for both seasoned crafters and beginners. Among the upcoming events are the “Witches Hat Stained Glass” workshop on September 20, 2024, and the “Cactus Stained Glass” event set for July 26, 2024. These hands-on experiences allow participants to create their own pieces of art, offering a fun and interactive way to explore different crafting techniques.

The store also offers custom craft event hosting for private groups, making it an ideal destination for birthday parties, team-building events, or a fun day out with friends. With such a wide array of events, Whispering Willow Way aims to foster a creative and welcoming environment for the Shelby community.
