Small Business Saturday is now considered an American shopping holiday. It’s officially held the Saturday after Thanksgiving, which is November 30 this year; however, the Richland Area Chamber’s Small Business Saturday contest will run from November 25 through November 30.
The Richland Area Chamber is maintaining a list of participating businesses, which can be found here). The contest has 2 different ways to win. Those who wish to be eligible for a prize from the Chamber will need to take a selfie at one or more participating stores, and then post the selfie(s) on Facebook with the hashtag #SBSRichland19. (Be sure your post is set as ‘public’ so it can be seen.) The Chamber will contact their Grand Prize winner. Separately, obtain the form available on the Chamber’s website) and leave completed forms with each location you visit. For these prizes, the businesses will contact winners directly.
Small Business Saturday includes not just shopping, but also eateries, beauty salons, museums and more. Be sure to check out what your favorite places are offering, or find a new local favorite. Supporting local businesses helps the local economy and supports our community.
