Raising Cane’s has reportedly pinpointed a new location for their Ontario restaurant. According to the Ontario Tribune-Courier, the chain listed the address of 720 North Lexington-Springmill Road for the new facility in a pre-site plan filed with the City of Ontario. This suggests that the new eatery will replace the Denny’s currently at that location, which sits on the southeast corner of Lexington-Springmill and West Fourth Street.
Speculation about Raising Cane’s coming to Richland County was energized last November when local media reported job postings for an Ontario restaurant.
Raising Cane’s, the renowned chicken finger chain, has carved an impressive niche in the fast-food industry. With over 750 locations globally, the Louisiana-based brand is centered on creating an experience. The recent opening of its 8,000-square-foot flagship store in Times Square, New York, marked a significant milestone in the company’s expansion, drawing immense crowds and garnering widespread attention.
Founded in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by Todd Graves and Craig Silvey, Raising Cane’s is a fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in high-quality chicken fingers. Known for its limited menu, the chain offers chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, and its proprietary Cane’s Sauce. Popular combo meals include The Box Combo, The 3 Finger Combo, The Sandwich Combo, and The Kids Combo.
Raising Cane’s has expanded significantly across the United States and into international markets like Kuwait, maintaining a strong focus on quality and community involvement. Despite challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and worker shortages, the company adapted by emphasizing pick-up and take-out services, with corporate employees stepping in to assist in restaurants. Raising Cane’s continues to grow and is beloved for its consistent, high-quality chicken finger meals.
The Denny’s has been operating on this site since 1979.
