We’re going to start of “Tweet of the Week” feature on Thursdays here on 1812Blockhouse.
While we often share social media posts on the site, this is an opportunity to highlight a tweet which really caught our attention. In this case, it is a photo of a ribbon cutting which recently occurred in Shelby.
Lloyd Rebar started its life in 2012 in a pole barn, and has grown continuously since then. From humble beginnings, it now provides rebar for construction projects in the metropolitan areas of Ohio; many of the largest such projects in Columbus, for instance, use their products.
From 2016 to 2017, Lloyd Rebar experienced a 125% increase in sales. This success caused the company to plan expansion, and specifically a 30,000 square foot facility in the Shelby Technology Park. Last year, the firm was a finalist for Small Business of the Year through the Richland Area Chamber of Commerce.
This tweet shows the ribbon cutting for that new building, which took place on November 6. Those present included Representative Mark Romanchuk.
