Ohio Expands Options To Obtain High School Equivalency Certificates

Ohioans now have three testing options for earning a certificate of high school equivalence. The Ohio Department of Education approved GEDHiSET and TASC as the official testing companies for adult learners to use to earn the certificate of high school equivalence, generally considered to be the equivalent of a high school diploma.

Applications Now Being Accepted for Expanded EdChoice Scholarship

The Ohio Department of Education is now accepting applications for scholarships for students assigned to underperforming public schools as identified by the Department for the 2018-2019 school year. The awarded scholarships help students attend participating private schools.

The income-based EdChoice Scholarship expands to include students entering fifth grade for the first time in 2018-2019. Anyone who meets the income requirements, regardless of where they live in Ohio, is eligible for this scholarship. More…
