Mansfield Senior Has A New Athletic Director

Jennifer Lepard, a 14-year special education teacher in Mansfield City Schools, is the new athletic director at Mansfield Senior High School.

Lepard’s appointment was confirmed by the board of education Tuesday night on a 3-1 vote that encompassed a wide range of Superintendent Brian Garverick’s personnel recommendations. Senior Has New Head Basketball Coach

A standout player at Mansfield Senior High School and Morehead State University is the new varsity basketball coach at Senior High.

The appointment of Marquis L. Sykes was announced Tuesday by Superintendent Brian Garverick after several applicants were interviewed by a team of administrators. He succeeds J. T. Reese as the Tygers’ head coach. Sykes’ appointment will be confirmed by the board of education on June 20. More…

Mansfield Senior Graduates 168 On Saturday

Mansfield Senior High School celebrated its annual Class Day Thursday afternoon, setting the stage for Saturday’s 10:30 a.m. commencement in Pete Henry Gym.

The Class of 2017 – numbering 168 on the list of graduates approved by the board of education this week – was attired in caps and gowns as a multitude of scholarship awards were presented. A class total is expected to be announced on Saturday. More…

Twenty-four Mansfield Senior High School art students have qualified for state judging after regional competition on Saturday in the 47th annual Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition.

Funds Sought For Tyger To Make Big 10 Visits

A GoFundMe campaign is underway to provide funds for a Mansfield Senior High School football standout and his coach to visit two Big Ten schools.

Ten At Senior Qualify For Regional Science Day
