Easter Sunday To Feature Historic Churches On 1812Blockhouse

In celebration of those local faith communities for which this is a highly significant weekend, 1812Blockhouse will be re-showcasing three Mansfield church buildings which have been the subject of posts in our Landmarks of Mansfield series.

Area Easter Egg Hunts Continue National, Local Traditions

UPDATE: MARCH 25: As promised, we have updated the list of Richland County Easter Egg hunts and festivities. See below.

The traditional White House Easter Egg Roll in Washington, D.C. will be held on Monday, April 2 this year. This event has been held since 1878. You can read about the history of the Roll here on the website of the White House Historical Association.

Locally, Easter Egg hunts are mentioned in Mansfield newspapers of the early twemtieth century, primarily hosted by churches, organizations, and individuals. More…

Highway Patrol Promotes Labor Day Weekend Safety
