As it has done in years past, TourismOhio has begun regular updates about the turning of leaves across the Buckeye State.

This year, that experience takes place on the agency’s brand-new website. The new page (click here) displays the following:

An Ohio map showing the current status of tree colors at state parks. Locally, those include Mount Gilead State Park, Mohican State Park and Forest, and Malabar Farm State Park. Clicking on any park icon will take visitors to a page listing fall-related hikes and other events.

Weekly fall color updates in a blog format. Three posts have already been made, the latest of which, published on October 5, shares “Hints of Color Begin to Emerge Across the Buckeye State.”

A video on the science behind leaves turning color presented by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources is also included.
