It’s what can happen when the new meets the old – in this case, when modern technology is engaged to tell about a storied past.

The RichHistory Alliance, a collaboration of member historic museums and groups throughout Richland County, works to promote and share local history. The Alliance is now doing so through a new website that provides an effective visual tool for that goal.

The site’s home page provides links to member entities and an events calendar. Also included is a speakers guide; those included are available for presentations on topics such as local manufacturing history, the story of the mills along the Mohican River, and more.

The successful RichHistory Weekend is given its own page. A schedule for the 2018 version of this popular event, which will take place on May 5 and 6, is already posted.

While many interesting venues will be open, we here at 1812Blockhouse are particularly pleased to note that during the weekend REACH (Richland Early American Center for History) will be at the Blockhouse and new log house in South Park.

You can find the new website at: richhistory.org
