Paths were lined with arches of lights, and a family stood warming by a campfire. While walking toward the displays of Christmas trees decorated by area businesses and organizations, and housed in the Exhibit Hall and Greenhouse, a family of peacocks crossed our path.

Where else could this happen but at Christmas at Kingwood?

The annual holiday event began on Saturday and continues through the end of December. One highlight is a richly decorated Kingwood Hall, with gingerbread houses, displays of dozens of Santa Claus and Father Noels in the Library and Reading Room, and live music in the Main Room. Volunteers encouraged guests to visit the Kitchen, a rarely-viewed room on regular tours, through which the Butler’s Pantry and Dining Room were also on display.

We took a handful of photos to share with you (see below; click any image for a larger version). More information about Christmas at Kingwood can be found at this link.
