As the summer winds toward the beginning of school, Shelby City Schools has set forth a list of open house and orientation events between now and the start of the 2019-2020 school year.
The official first day of school in Shelby is Monday, August 19.
Open House and Orientation Events:
High School: August 13
Freshmen orientation and open house for all students
Incoming Freshmen: 6:30-7:30 PM at the High School
Grades 9-12 Open House: 7:30-8:30 PM at the High School
Middle School: August 13
5th Grade: 5:30-6:30 at the Middle School
Middle School: August 14
6th & 7th Grade: 5:30-6:30 PM at the Middle School
8th Grade: 6:30-7:30 PM at the Middle School
Auburn & Downes: August 15
Open House for students in grades 1-4
1st – 4th Grade: 5:30-6:30 PM at Auburn
1st – 4th Grade: 5:30-6:30 PM at Dowds
AM Preschool: August 20
Open House for all AM Preschool students.
9 AM-11 PM or 1-3 PM at Little Whippets Preschool
Parents and students may come and go anytime during set times.
