This morning, Pioneer Career and Technology Center in Shelby issued the following notice:
Due to an emergency situation Pioneer staff and students are evacuating the building. There is no immediate threat and we are all safe. This is a precautionary measure. Local law enforcement is on site and we are working to ensure that our environment is safe before anyone returns to the building.
WMFD is reporting that a note with a bomb threat was found in a restroom that prompted this action. We will be updating our Mansfield/Richland Tweets section with additional stories on this situation.
